Photographs of the Wasatch and Uinta Mountain Ranges of Northern Utah. The Wasatch Range runs north to south, just east of Salt Lake City. The Uinta range, which contains the highest peaks in the State of Utah, is famous as one of the only mountain ranges in the United States to run east-west.
These photographs were made with a view camera on 4x5 inch Fujichrome Provia and Velvia films. The photographs were taken between 2002 and 2007.

The Great Salt Lake, Salt Lake City's namesake, is the ancient remnant of Lake Bonneville, a prehistoric pluvial lake which covered much of Utah and the Great Basin Region. Because the Great Salt Lake has no outlet, it's salinity is higher than that of even sea water. Summer thunderstorms are a regular occurrence here and as such, produce dramatic effects in the sky and on the lake. These photographs were made during the summers of 2003 and 2004.
The photographs were made with a 4x5 inch view camera on Fujichome Velvia film.
